General Information
  1. When will slots be opened? / Why are there no available appointment slots?

    If you do not see available online appointment slots, it does not necessarily mean that they have been completely taken up.

    Please CLICK REFRESH as online appointments become available from time to time.

    You can also CHECK THE NEXT OPENING as slots are made available at 12:00 noon and 9:00 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays except holidays.

  2. Is obtaining an appointment from fixers and passport appointment assistance services illegal?

    Yes, it is a violation of the law. Violators will be prosecuted and barred from applying for passport. Appointments not made through http://passport.gov.ph are not legitimate appointments.

  3. There are no available slots for passport appointment. Can I walk-in instead?

  4. What are the requirements for Passport Online Appointment System?
    • A working computer with internet access.
    • A Web Browser. (Internet Explorer ver.11 or higher / Mozilla Firefox ver.45 and up recommended)
    • A valid and working email address to receive system-generated messages.
    • A PDF reader and a working printer to view and print the system-generated application form in A4-size paper.

Where do I apply?

    Philippine citizens can choose to apply for passports in the Philippines from any of our regional consular offices, satellite offices located in selected malls, and at the Office of Consular Affairs in Parañaque City. Depending on their place of legal residence abroad, Filipinos can approach the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate to file a passport application.

  2. Where can I find the nearest DFA branch or Consular Office?

    To display Consular Office information, click on Where to Apply header menu link, then choose the preferred Region, Country, and available Site (or Consular Office).

  3. Why is my nearest branch not in the list?

    Only DFA branches or Consular Offices that cater Online Appointment System are included the list.

    Please check the system next time for updated list of Consular offices.


How do I apply?
  1. What is the difference between individual and group appointment?

    Individial appointment refers to a single applicant and a single slot reservation only. For group appointment, applicant can be range from a group of 2 to 5 and will be assigned different appointment code.


What will happen if?
  1. I do not have an email address.

    A valid and working email address is very important. You may subscribe to any free email service like Yahoo! or Gmail. Just make sure that you have activated your email account prior to using Online Appointment System.

  2. I used wrong/invalid email address.

    A valid and working email address is very important. If incorrect, your reserved appointment will be cancelled after 5 days. You may re-apply again after system cancellation.

  3. I did not receive email notification.

    Depending on your email provider and configuration settings, the system-generated email may be incorrectly tagged as spam and delivered to your JUNK/SPAM folder. Check your spam folder for emails if no message appears in your Inbox after a considerable amount of time.

  4. I want to change my appointment date or location/site.

    You may change preferred date and schedule via Reschedule feature. Click on Schedule Appointment->View Appointment. Your received Appointment Code and email address is needed in order to View or Reschedule your appointment.

  5. I forgot my Appointment Code.

    The system sends the Appointment Code via your valid and working email address. Please check your email again.

    Please also check for the appointment code in the spam folder or trash folder in your email, as your email provider may direct it to these folders. If you have not received it, you may contact the Appointment Hotline for assistance: (02) 8234-3488.

  6. I made a mistake in filling out my application form. Will this affect my application? Will my appointment be cancelled?

    The application form may be corrected based on your documents on the day of your appointment. Please tell the passport processor about it.

    Please be reminded that any incorrect information that is inputted in the application form may result in delay in your application. Any misrepresentation on your part may be considered grounds for refusal or cancellation of your appointment.

    Regarding the schedule of Passport on Wheels, kindly refer to your local government unit, school, company, or organization.

    You may ask your local government unit, school, company, or organization to send a formal request to avail of the Passport on Wheels services.



Basic Information on the DFA ePayment Portal
  1. What is the DFA ePayment Portal?

    The DFA ePayment Portal is an upgrade to the Online Appointment System that enables passport applicants to pay their passport processing fees through selected payment centers nationwide and eventually through the use of credit and debit cards, or through over-the-counter cash transactions in selected banks.

  2. When will the DFA ePayment Portal be launched?
    • ASEANA: First week of June 2018
    • NCR: on or before the first week of July 2018
    • Nationwide: on or before the first week of August 2018
  3. How does the DFA ePayment Portal work?
    Those who are renewing or applying for Philippine ePassports will now be required to prepay the passport processing fees using the DFA ePayment Portal as part of the Online Appointment System. The following steps are to be taken:

    1. Visit PASSPORT.GOV.PH and SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT.
    • Read all the reminders carefully before agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of the Online Appointment System.
    • Choose a DFA Consular Office where you wish to apply for or renew your passport.
    • Pick the date and time when you wish to apply for or renew your passport.
    • Fill out all the required fields by providing the information being asked.
    • Carefully review all the details of your application before clicking SUBMIT.
    • Choose your desired passport processing type (expedited or regular processing) before clicking PROCEED TO PAYMENT.
    • Take note of the reference number that will be emailed to you.

    1. Proceed to your preferred Payment Center to pay the passport processing fee.
    • Present your reference number at the Payment Center upon payment of the passport processing fee.
    • One reference number corresponds to one transaction. If you are paying for multiple reference numbers, you need to pay separately for each reference number.
    • Keep the receipt that will be issued to you.

    1. A confirmed appointment packet will be sent to your email once the payment has been successfully processed. Click the link to your passport appointment packet and PRINT OUT the following contents that you need to bring with you during your scheduled appointment:
    • Checklist with your indicated schedule
    • Confirmed Application Form with the bar code, appointment reference number (ARN), and eReceipt number
    • Two (2) copies of the eRECEIPT

    1. Personally show up at the DFA Consular Office on the date and time indicated in your appointment and make sure to bring a printed copy of your confirmed passport appointment packet and other required documents and IDs.
  4. Is the payment reference number specifically assigned to one (1) payment center?
    No, a reference number is universal to all payment centers so you can conveniently pay at any of the authorized payment centers.
  5. Can I use my payment reference number more than once?
    No, a reference number can only be used once.
  6. Where can passport applicants pay their passport processing fees?
    Applicants can pay the passport processing fee through any of the following Payment Centers:
    • Bayad Center
    • EcPay
    • Pera Hub
    • Robinson’s Business Center and Department Stores
    • Waltermart Department Store
    • 7-11
    • USCC (Western Union)
    • Villarica Pawnshop
    • Other Payment Centers as well as the credit/debit card payment facility will be made available soon.
  7. How much do applicants have to pay for?
    Passports applicants will need to pay PHP 1,200.00 for expedited processing and PHP 950.00 for regular processing. A PHP 50.00 convenience fee is charged by authorized Payment Centers on top of the processing fees.
  8. Can the convenience fee and passport processing fee be refunded in case the applicant fails to show up during his/her scheduled appointment?
    No, a refund cannot be processed.

  10. What are the benefits of the DFA ePayment Portal?
    It’s convenient.
    • Applicants can pay their passport processing fees anytime at any participating payment center and eventually online through their credit/debit cards.
    It helps applicants save time.
    • By eliminating one step to undergo at the DFA Consular Office, applicants will be able to significantly save time.
    It encourages passport applicants to show up on their scheduled appointments.
    • Applicants have to observe their appointments lest they forfeit their passport processing fee and convenience fee.
    It allows DFA consular offices to accommodate more passport applicants.
    • By significantly cutting down the processing time, DFA consular offices will be able to accommodate more applicants with the same amount of available resources.
    It gets rid of fixers.
    • Payment of the passport processing fee is a prerequisite before an applicant will be able to receive a confirmed appointment schedule. An applicant’s confirmed appointment schedule is non-transferrable.
